Ravelympics

I've just finished all my projects for the Ravelympics. For anyone who doesn't know, Ravelympics is a knitting challenge that takes place during the Olympics. The idea is to challenge yourself with projects to make during the time period of the Olympics.

The projects I chose were quite simple, but I never imagined I could finish so much. I started out with 3 projects as my goal. But I was so focused, I managed to fit a fourth one in. The knitting was finished sometime mid-week, but I had to finish weaving in ends, blocking, taking photos, etc. This is the part that is always a challenge for me, so it was nice to have a hard deadline.

The first two projects were a cowl and hat called Super Cupcake from Bonne Marie Burns.

This also resulted in I think the first pictures of the garden at our house. It is very overgrown.

My next project was a particular challenge, since it was to create a sample of my own design. I've had these socks in my head for a long time. I will soon be posting official instructions somewhere, and have already had a few requests for them, which is exciting. If anyone has any particular knowledge on selling pdfs online, feel free to send your advice. This has been the main thing holding me back.

The last thing I knit, was another pair of socks. These are also an original design. I put in a Kitchen toe and heel. That is really my most favorite way of finishing things off. I absolutely loathe seams.
